CAMOEL, Between Brière and Vilaine
Are you rather Mitaü or Beurton?
The first were the inhabitants of Camoel, near Penestin, the second of Arzal.
The Vilaine is the natural separation of the two municipalities yet linked by the "Arzal dam".
The port of Víeille Roche, this former fishing village from where once left the ferry to reach the other shore, devotes its winter season to the famous fishing elvers.
Camoël also extends through its picturesque and historic villages.Old Roche and its houses of character; the Passage, high place of transport of the salt of Guérande formerly; their mansions: Kerguen, Kerbili, La Corolais (it seems that King Henri IV would come to stay there).
There is also rumor that ... Gargantua would have lost his pucks in a game.Well, they stayed there, on the edge of the Vilaine ... (A clue? Look for two huge flat rocks that overlap) ...
